Why learn German?

You have always wanted to learn German but were lacking motivation to do so? It is better to start late than never. The German language is the most widely spoken language in Europe. German is not only spoken in Germany, but is also the official language in Austria, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Liechtenstein! If you learn German you will be able to speak with 100 million native speakers and create thus a lot of business opportunities. Did you know that you will find some of the longest words in the German language? According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the longest German word in everyday use is “Rechtsschutzversicherungsgesellschaften” and has 39 letters! However, if you learn German, you will come across even longer words. On top of that, German speakers produce every year around 80.000 new books. Only a limited number of those are translated into other languages, so knowledge of the German language will give you access to these books. You might have always wanted to travel to Germany but were afraid because of a possible language barrier? Even if it might seem like a slippery language, German is actually easy to acquire, because German and English belong to the same language family tree!
